** R2PC INVOICE PHISHING SCAM **

It has been brought to our attention that a Region 2 Planning Commission (R2PC) invoice phishing scam has been going around. We advise anyone receiving these messages to block and report them as spam messages. Do not forward to Region 2 Planning Commission, Jackson County, or anyone else. 

If you receive an invoice from R2PC and are concerned it may be a scam, do not click any links in the message, do not forward the message to others, and do not send payment to the sender! 

Contact R2PC to let us know that you have received an invoice from us and so we can confirm whether you have any outstanding invoices with us. 

The Jackson County IT Department is aware of this phishing scam and suggested that these messages be sent to your trash/spam/junk folders and NOT forwarded on to anyone.  Forwarding these scam messages to others only increases the risk that more people will be involved in the phishing scam.
