PUBLIC NOTICE – OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

There will be a meeting of the Full Region 2 Rural Task Force for Hillsdale, Jackson, and Lenawee counties on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 11:30 AM in the Jackson County Department of Transportation Offices, 2400 N. Elm St., Jackson, Michigan 49201. 

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss new allocations for FY 2023-2026, review projects programmed in FY 2022 and develop the FY 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) using projected receipts of federal funding from the rural Surface Transportation Program (STP) and the Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF).   Projects eligible for funding include transit capital projects and road and/or bridge construction projects on roads classified as rural major or minor collectors in Hillsdale, Jackson, and Lenawee counties.  Projects located within the Adrian/Tecumseh/Clinton U.S. Census designated urbanized area boundary are NOT eligible for rural funding.
