DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC NOTICE – OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT  \nThere will be a meeting of the Full Region 2 Rural Task Force for Hillsdale\, Jackson\, and Lenawee counties on Friday\, February 25\, 2022\, at 11:30 AM in the Jackson County Department of Transportation Offices\, 2400 N. Elm St.\, Jackson\, Michigan 49201.   \nThe purpose of the meeting is to discuss new allocations for FY 2023-2026\, review projects programmed in FY 2022 and develop the FY 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) using projected receipts of federal funding from the rural Surface Transportation Program (STP) and the Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF).   Projects eligible for funding include transit capital projects and road and/or bridge construction projects on roads classified as rural major or minor collectors in Hillsdale\, Jackson\, and Lenawee counties.  Projects located within the Adrian/Tecumseh/Clinton U.S. Census designated urbanized area boundary are NOT eligible for rural funding. \nInterested persons are invited to attend the meeting and provide public comment.  Written statements may also be sent via mail / email to the addresses listed below. \nFor more information\, please contact:  Anton Schauerte\, Principal Transportation Planner at (517) 768-6703 or at aschauerte@mijackson.org
