Progress continues on the Jackson City + County Non-Motorized Plan. This summer, the consultants combined the results of their inventory and analysis with the input from the public gathered in the spring to develop the preliminary draft non-motorized network. The preliminary draft network was reviewed by the Project Steering Committee in late summer. Public input was gathered on the preliminary draft network this fall through a series of 10 public outreach meetings that were held across the County and within the City and via the project website. To review the proposed changes based on public input that are being considered for the next phase of the plan, please see PlanWorkshopChanges10-3-19 on the project website. The consultants are continuing to refine the draft network and plan based on the public input gathered this fall. The draft plan will be available to review in late 2019. The project will wrap up in early 2020 resulting in a completed final master plan with recommendations for the City of Jackson and the Villages and Townships, along with Jackson County, to implement.
